The flame tube is part of the rapid igniter, which is installed in the Petromax models. It is responsible for bringing the flame into shape, so that it does not strike out uncontrollably. Furthermore, the petroleum coming out of the nozzle mixes with air in the flame tube, which can flow in through the holes in the tube. It can be installed in all Petromax models.
