made and comes straight from the Dutch oven. The Dutch baby - also known as a puffed
pancake - can be made with fresh apples or other seasonal fruit. We show you how to prepare your Dutch Baby quickly and easily in the Dutch oven.
Ingrédients
- 1 tbsp oil (e.g. coconut oil) coconut oil)
- 1 apple
- 100 g spelt flour
- 50 g rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 eggs (medium)
- 3 tbsp quark (1.5% fat)
Préparation
Peel the apple and cut into strips. Put the oil in the Dutch oven lid and preheat with 3 briquettes underneath.
Mix the remaining ingredients into a batter and then pour into the lid.
Spread the apples on top and bake for about 30 minutes. To do this, place the Dutch oven upside down on the lid and place 7 more briquettes on top.

Tip: A slice of the still-warm Dutch Baby tastes best when served with a scoop of ice cream. Depending on taste and season, other fruit can also be used.
Cooking temperature/charcoal distribution: 200°C (top and bottom heat), Briquettes: 10 (7 top, 3 bottom)
