The baked potato is a real jack-of-all-trades in the outdoor kitchen. This popular barbecue side dish is quick to make. With a spicy topping of bacon and cheese, the baked potato becomes a delicious main course. In the Petromax potato roaster, outdoor chefs can make the perfect baked potato. Up to three fist-sized potatoes cook in the closed pan without drying out and retain the typical roasted flavor.
Ingrédients
-
3 large, floury potatoes
-
100 g grated cheddar cheese
-
50 g bacon
-
coarse sea salt
Préparation
Wash the potatoes well, but do not dry them. Prick the skin all over with a fork and roll in coarse sea salt. This gives the potatoes a wonderfully crispy crust.
Place the potatoes in the potato roaster and top with the bacon and grated cheddar. The typical cast iron patina prevents burning and is also a natural flavor carrier.
Close the lid of the Petromax Potato Roaster and place in the hot embers or on the grill. The tilt lock prevents the cast iron pan from opening when handling. After just under an hour, the skin is crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy. With the Petromax lid lifter, the potato roaster can be safely lifted out of the fire.
