Petromax Adventure Camps

The Petromax Adventure Camp is an intensive event that takes you out and shows you how to enjoy life outdoors - in the wilderness. Among other things, you will learn how to cook outdoors, make a fire, appreciate nature and also how to have a lot of fun. We want to invite you
to escape the (digital) daily grind and (re)discover the adventurer in you
. And you don't need a day-long expedition to do this - the perfect adventure can take place right in your neighborhood - or in your garden as a real Netflix alternative.

For everyone who craves nature, fire, and genuine experiences, or simply wants to effectively escape everyday life. Whether alone, as a couple, or with friends. You don’t need any prior experience, just curiosity and a desire for something new. By the way, there’s no age limit for being outdoors. We’re also happy to welcome children (we recommend the camp from age 8) accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility, and we trust in your care.

In our basic camp, we take around 10 to 15 people with us (depending on the location) - so it remains personal, intensive and there is room for exchange and shared experiences. There may be deviations depending on the location and camp format.

The base camp is designed as a day format and lasts between six and nine hours, depending on the camp format. There may be variations depending on the location and camp format. You can find more detailed information in the booking form for the respective camp event.

The campfire is the linchpin of our camp - and the perfect fire is an art. You will learn how to light it safely and effectively, choose the right wood and build a self-sufficient cooking area with minimal equipment that can compete with any kitchen.

In addition to making a fire, you will learn the basics of outdoor cooking - with
simple, practical dishes that not only taste good on the go, but can also be an alternative at home.

Depending on the location, there are also other adventures - such as archery,
treasure hunts, river crossings or encounters with birds of prey. You will also learn to understand nature as a valuable space, to treat its resources with care - and to harness the power of "really switching off". Because campfires, the wind in the trees and good conversation work - your cell phone or TV don't.

Our camps take place at selected, natural locations in Germany - deliberately outside of everyday life, but easily accessible. We will let you know the exact location after you book.

All you need is weatherproof clothing (check the weather forecast) and sturdy shoes. We provide all the outdoor equipment.

No. Beginners and the curious are always welcome. We'll show you step by step what's important. If you already have experience, you will still gain new impulses - do you know what you don't know?

Our credo: Outside is outside - we show you that every weather has its beautiful sides. Nevertheless, we want to make it enjoyable for you. If we see that the conditions are so bad that you won't have a good time - or even that safety can't be guaranteed
(e.g. in the event of bad weather), we will work together to find a solution such as rebooking or canceling. Otherwise, fire, rain and a bit of mud are all part of the adventure.

Definitely - and over the fire, prepared together. Our outdoor kitchen is much more than just bread on a stick and raw vegetables. You won't just be full, you'll be amazed at what's possible outdoors. You will definitely be full and happy. By the way: there are of course also non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. We don't count - we don't feel like it. We trust you to be responsible.

The price depends on the location and the selected camp format. You can find the costs in the booking mask. The price includes everything that makes your day a real & educational adventure incl. equipment provided on loan, program, food & drink and lots of knowledge.

Even if we find it stupid, it can happen that the camp
does not take place. This includes official requirements, the weather situation or other reasons that we cannot or can hardly influence. If we decide not to hold the camp, we will inform you in good time. Don't worry, of course you won't be stuck with your costs. We will refund the amount you have paid.
