Reflector screen HK350/HK500

The reflector focuses the light of the Petromax lamp and reflects it downwards. This results in several advantages at once: If the lamp is mounted in an elevated position, e.g. with the Petromax lamp holder, no light is lost upwards. Thus, the lamp illuminates the larger area most effectively. If you look at the Petromax from above, the reflector screen acts as a glare shield. However, the Petromax Top reflector is not only an extremely practical addition. It also gives the world-famous high-intensity lamp its characteristic appearance. The parabolic side reflector focuses the light of the Petromax lamp in one direction. The curved shape of the reflector thereby creates a spotlight-like beam. This partially frosted glass cylinder for the Petromax HK350/500 is made of highly heat-resistant borosilicate glass from Schott. The attachment is made of a high-quality steel alloy and with a diameter of 18 cm provides a secure support surface for pots and pans. The baffle plate is a useful and recommended accessory for any Petromax strong light lamp. In the event of a defective glow plug, small but very hot flames can spread in the lamp and loosen solder joints on the tank. The baffle plate, which is inserted into the carrying frame above the centering base, shields the tank. The protective baffle plate ensures that the tank remains intact even if the filaments are damaged. The baffle plate is also required for mounting the Petromax radiator. This baffle plate is manufactured for lamps from year of manufacture 2000. These can be recognized by the screwed support rods of the support frame. For lamps before year of manufacture 2000, the support rods are riveted to the frame.

The brass tube, bent in a U-shape, is installed in the inner jacket. The fuel and the air drawn in from outside are mixed in the mixing tube. The fuel-air mixture finally reaches the burner via the mixing chamber connected to it.Since the mixing tube expands and contracts again as it heats up and cools down, the mixing tube distance to the carburetor nozzle must be readjusted every now and then to ensure an optimum mixture.
