Ingrédients
-
180 g flour (type 405)
-
½ tsp salt
-
1 tsp sugar
-
1 tsp baking powder
-
1 tsp dry yeast
-
½ tsp thyme
-
50 g grated Parmesan
-
150 ml water
Préparation
Dough preparation
Mix dough: Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add water and mix thoroughly.
Adjust dough: If the dough is too soft or sticky, gradually add a little flour until it can be shaped into a ball.
Prepare for travel: Pack the dough and bring some extra flour. The dough will rise slightly on the way into the woods!
Shaping & baking over fire
Divide dough into thumb-thick pieces
Roll each piece to about 15–20 cm length
You can bake the dough directly on a stick or wrap it around a sausage – classic “lapp dog” style
Cooking
Over open fire, but not directly in the flames
Best placed next to the fire or over hot embers
⏱ Cooking time: about 15–20 minutes, turn regularly and be patient! Otherwise the outside will burn before the inside is cooked.
