Check the barbecue gloves for brittleness, cracks, holes and material abrasion before each use by looking at or feeling them. If your gloves have any of these defects, replace them. The back of the hand, wrists and forearms are not protected. The barbecue gloves are not for welding or casting. They are not tested against small splashes of molten metal.
