The ultra-passive cooling system operates solely with regular ice or cooling packs. Without any compressor or absorber, the double-walled and cavity-insulated kx50 keeps ice cold for up to 12 days!
Unbeatable advantage: The interior of the kx50 is designed so that a whole crate of beer fits in its 50 l volume! And of course, other drinks, vegetables, meat, or freshly caught fish find their ideal storage place in your Petromax cool box.
Cooling system with substance
The insulation layer of the Petromax cool box, at least 45 mm thick, guarantees you the longest possible temperature stability inside during outdoor use. But that’s not all: The robust PE body is so sturdy that you can easily use the box as an elevated seat or standing surface. This way, you can comfortably cast your fishing line or get an overview of your surroundings. Additionally, the kx50’s clear-edged design makes it easy to stack and store in the cargo area or below deck. Refilling ice and later cleaning the cooling compartment is made easier by the integrated drainage system. This allows you to drain meltwater at any time—especially during use—extending the cooling duration according to your needs.
Adventure-ready handling
Especially when cooking outdoors and using gear in nature, the demands on reliable equipment are high. Besides the extremely long temperature stability, there are other features that make the Petromax cool box suitable for Adventures: Indentations on the lid allow for cross-strapping. This lets you securely stow your kx50 for transport on your boat’s deck or the bed of your pickup. The ergonomic side handles can also be used as strap guides, enabling you to open it while secured during transport. The non-slip rubber closures are operable with one hand and provide a firm grip even with wet fingers. Reinforced locking plates combined with a standard padlock let you additionally secure your supplies against wild animals. The four rubber feet on the cool box bottom ensure a firm stand and also promote air circulation from below.

For relaxing outdoor breaks – The Petromax Seat Cushion for the cool boxWith the Seat Cushion for the compact Petromax cool box, you turn your ultra-passive cooling system into a portable resting spot. The cushion core made of permanently elastic foam forms the crucial foundation for relaxation in nature. It ensures ideal pressure distribution under load and thus a comfortable seating experience. The Seat Cushion is covered with robust ripstop fabric (600D). This makes it withstand frequent use and remain particularly resistant to dirt. The Petromax insert basket enables gentle and cool storage of delicate foods such as fresh vegetables and fruit. It fits perfectly on the inner edge of the cool box and creates an additional temperature layer that allows dry storage. With the insert basket, your provisions are always within reach and neatly organized. Thanks to the water-repellent coating, it is easy to clean and remains visually appealing. Raw meat and fish products as well as fatty foods should be hygienically packed and stored contact-free in the dry basket.
