The Petromax Care Conditioner is the perfect complement for anyone who wants to keep their cast iron and wrought iron products in top shape for the long term. It preserves the pre-treated surface (seasoned finish) of Dutch Oven, pans, and fire pots, ensuring they remain protected and ready to use over time.
Applied after cleaning, the conditioner deeply nourishes the material and protects it from corrosion and external influences. This keeps the existing patina intact while allowing it to develop further through regular use and care, enhancing the natural cooking properties.
The Care Conditioner is also excellent for seasoning. Important: Small rust spots must first be brushed off with a wire brush, then cleaned and re-seasoned. The conditioner itself does not remove rust but supports the formation of an even protective layer and effectively prevents new corrosion – ideal for new or refurbished cast products.
