sauerkraut and bacon, you can transform the popular dessert into a hearty
snack for in-between meals. We show you how to prepare the savory waffle snack with
the Petromax waffle iron in just 15 minutes.

- 2 eggs (medium)
- 500 ml buttermilk

preparation
Place the ingredients for the batter in a bowl and mix to form a thick batter.
Unfold the waffle iron and preheat thoroughly. Then remove from the iron and brush well with butter.
Now pour the waffle batter into the bottom half of the waffle iron, fold the halves together and close with the hook (note: do not pour in too much batter as it will rise during baking!)
Bake the waffles on the fire for about 5 minutes.
Finally, remove the waffles from the waffle iron and place the sauerkraut between the waffles, just like a sandwich.
Recipe note
Tip: The dough can also be easily prepared and transported to the outdoor kitchen ready to go. Optionally, 125 g of diced bacon can be added to the dough.
