These lamps can be recognized by the screwed support rods of the support frame. For lamps before year of manufacture 2000, the support rods are riveted to the frame.

The air pump adapter simplifies pumping up the lamp by replacing it with the hand pump. To do this, unscrew the pump cover together with the piston and screw on the air pump adapter. An air pump or compressor can then be connected to the adapter to quickly and conveniently pressurize the tank. If the lamp is pumped up with the help of the adapter, this also benefits the service life of the bulb. Shocks caused by pumping with the hand pump are thus avoided. The air pump adapter fits all Petromax models: HK150/250/350/500.

Mixing tube HK350/500

The brass tube, bent in a U-shape, is installed in the inner jacket. The fuel and the air drawn in from outside are mixed in the mixing tube. The fuel-air mixture finally reaches the burner via the mixing chamber connected to it.Since the mixing tube expands and contracts again as it heats up and cools down, the mixing tube distance to the carburetor nozzle must be readjusted every now and then to ensure an optimum mixture.

This support bracket is used to convert the Petromax HK350/500 to operation with two-hole glow mantles. The double attachment of the two-hole incandescent mantle to the support bracket provides comparatively more stability for the incandescent mantle.
