Description

The gasket made of lead is suitable for perfectly sealing the pump bottom valve of all Petromax models. The lead seal should not be used for lamps that are operated with gasoline. The Viton seal (83v) should be used for this purpose.

Lead has the property of being plastically deformable. The gasket can therefore simply be inserted at the appropriate point and screwed in tightly so that it is squeezed directly between the components.

It is recommended that the gasket is replaced every time the respective screw connection is loosened.

"Vor kurzem habe ich bei Petromax ein paar Verschleißteile bestellt und auch schnell geliefert bekommen. Jeder schlaue Lampenbesitzer legt sich Ersatz für Dichtungen und Ventile beiseite, erst recht seit Alkohol im Benzin mitschwimmt. Dadurch werden die Gummiteile schneller hart und die Lampe schneller undicht. Doch selbst wenn ich diese Teile direkt nach Erhalt eingebaut hätte, könnte ich nach den paar Tagen keine Auskunft über die Qualität und die Lebensdauer der gelieferten Teile geben. Die Zeit wird es zeigen ob diese Teile hochwertig sind, oder nur das Messing schön blank war. Somit empfinde ich eine Bewertung nach so kurzer Zeitspanne anzufordern als unangemessen."
