The history of the Kuksa - where the bushcraft cup comes from

Originally, the Kuksa was made by its owner from a birch tree growth using a few tools such as a knife and axe, and then fitted with reindeer horn and leather hooks. Tradition dictated that the kuksa was never washed, but only cleaned in a stream or lake. Olive wood has the advantage of being scratch resistant, hygienic, insensitive to acid and does not take on odors - making it the ideal adventure gear. The oil-wax finish means you don't have to treat your Petromax Kuksa with salt or coffee powder, and you can use it right away.

How to care for your Kuksa:

Strongly coloring liquids such as blackberry juice or red wine can also discolor your kuksa.
