The
specialty from Austria now comes from the lid - no Schmarrn. The hit
for young and old can be easily prepared in the Dutch Oven lid over an open fire. With this Kaiserschmarrn, you are guaranteed to bring sunshine
to any rainy mood. We show you how to prepare this recipe in no time at all.
Ingredients
-
200 g flour
-
6 eggs (large)
-
50 g sugar
-
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
-
350 ml milk
-
40 g butter
preparation
Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff.
Beat the egg yolks together with the sugar, vanilla sugar and milk until frothy, fold in the flour and beaten egg whites.
Melt the butter in the lid of the Dutch oven and pour in half of the batter. Allow to fry until the underside is brown (note: do not fry on both sides). Then divide the dough into large pieces and leave everything in the lid again very briefly. Then prepare the second half of the dough in the same way.
Tip: Kaiserschmarrn tastes best with powdered sugar and a vanilla or fruity berry sauce.
