Do you have to light a fire just for popcorn? No, but if there’s already a fire going, you can quickly make some popcorn. I’ve gone for a nicely sweet yet savory version here.

Ingredients
-
1 tbsp sweet paprika powder
-
1 tbsp smoked paprika powder
-
1 tsp curry powder
-
½ tsp salt
-
1 tsp powdered sugar
-
3–4 tbsp rapeseed oil
-
80 g popcorn kernels
preparation
- For the seasoning mix, combine both paprika powders with curry powder, salt, and powdered sugar.
Hang the Dutch Oven (about 10 cm above the flames) and preheat for 8–10 minutes.
Then take the Dutch Oven down, pour the oil into the pot, and sprinkle in the kernels.
Close the Dutch Oven with the lid and let the kernels pop.
Once the popcorn is ready, put it in a bowl and mix with the seasoning.
(On the grill over direct medium to high heat at 180–200 °C.)
TIP: Once the Dutch Oven is preheated, the stored heat is enough to make your popcorn without burning it.
