In our recipe, you will learn how to make your roast chicken crispy and juicy
at the same time.
Ingredients

1 corn-fed chicken (approx. 1.4 kg)

Roast chicken spice mix

1/2 Hokkaido pumpkin

6-8 medium potatoes

1 stalk of leek
-
1 bunch thyme
-
1 tsp stock, 250 ml water
preparation
Prepare grill for 180-200 °C indirect heat.
Clean the corn-fed chicken and rub with a little oil.
Spread the spice mixture evenly over the chicken and leave the chicken to rest.
Peel the potatoes and roughly chop them together with the leek and Hokkaido pumpkin.
Dissolve the stock in boiling water and pour some of it into the cavity of the poultry roaster until it is about 2/3 full. Pour the rest of the stock into the pan.
Place the chicken on the top of the chicken roaster and spread the vegetables with the thyme around the chicken in the pan.
Cook for approx. 50-60 minutes with the grill closed.
Recipe note
The roast chicken can also be prepared in the oven at 180 °C fan oven.
