450 g ground beef

1 green pepper, finely diced

1 red onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, finely chopped

Oil for frying

0.5 tsp salt

Pepper to taste

1 tsp Dijon mustard

3 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

400 g tomato sauce (bottle)

100 ml water

0.5 tsp chili flakes

Brioche buns
preparation
Heat a pan or griddle strongly and add a little oil.
Brown the ground beef until crumbly and nicely caramelized.
Add onion, garlic, and pepper and sauté briefly.
Stir in salt, pepper, chili flakes, sugar, and mustard.
Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, and water.
Mix well and simmer over medium heat for 15–20 minutes until thick, saucy, and “sloppy”.
Optional: for extra richness, stir in a handful of grated cheddar until melted and creamy.
