Pineapple Bacon Sandwich from the Petromax Sandwich Iron

Ingredients

4–5 slices of bacon

2 slices of toast bread

1–2 tbsp BBQ sauce

1 slice pineapple (fresh or canned)

1 slice cheddar or processed cheese
preparation
Place the sandwich iron over the embers and preheat lightly.
Lay the bacon slices across the iron so they hang over both sides. They will form the crispy outer layer later.
Then layer:
Toast
BBQ sauce
Pineapple
Cheese
Second slice of toastFold the overhanging bacon strips over the sandwich so it is fully wrapped.
Close the sandwich iron and place it over the embers.
Bake for about 3–5 minutes per side. The bacon should become golden with darker edges, the cheese melt, the pineapple caramelize slightly, and the BBQ sauce bind everything together.
In the end, you get a little monster made of:
smoky bacon
sweet pineapple
melted cheese
BBQ sauce
and crispy toast.
