What is the Petromax gas table operated with and how flexible is it?

The Petromax gas stove with table frame is connected and operated with standard propane gas cylinders. So you have all ways and places open to you to really heat up your Dutch oven at any time.

With a maximum load capacity of 80 kg (ge45-s) or 100 kg (ge90-s), the robust table structure with cooking unit can handle any pot. At the same time, it supports your mobility: the frame structure allows you to dismantle it quickly by simply removing the legs. This means that the guest table can be reduced to a compact transport size for your next camping adventure in no time at all. The comfortable working height of 87 cm, the all-round holding brackets for your cooking tools and the removable windbreak ensure comfortable and energy-efficient cooking. The Petromax gas table guarantees you concentrated cooking power wherever an open fire is not possible but a roasting aroma is indispensable.

Why is the gas table a strong alternative to an open fire?

Open fires are not permitted on campsites or during high forest fire levels. In such situations, the Petromax gas tables provide you with flaming cooking adventures and an alternative to the glowing heat.

This way, you retain the feeling of freedom and independence when cooking with the Dutch Oven and still get the full taste of outdoor cooking.

The Petromax gas table bundles the power of the fire in the hidden burner unit and emits it with the equivalent of 5 kW. This allows your cast iron or forged steel cookware to heat up immediately. With the ge45-s and the ge90-s you have two power packs that will really heat you up with one or two 5 kW burners.

The round shape of the burners promotes optimum heat distribution and storage when using cast iron. All Dutch ovens from size ft3 and all Petromax pans are stable and cannot tip over on the separately removable cookware rack.

Without smoke and without sparks, the gas table offers you an independent outdoor experience with your Petromax cooking equipment.

How safe is the Petromax gas table?

The reliable ignition mechanism of the combined control element keeps you safe. The gas supply to the burner is opened by pressing and turning the knob. At the same time, the integrated piezo igniter provides the decisive spark to ignite the burner flame. Depending on the required temperature, you can then adjust the heat continuously.

The automatic flame monitoring system offers additional safety: if your flame accidentally goes out, the gas supply is immediately and automatically interrupted. In combination with the included 50 mb pressure regulator, which keeps the gas pressure constant via a membrane control, you are guaranteed an even flame pattern throughout operation.

Depending on the region, there are different legal regulations for the commissioning of cooking equipment with gas burners. Both the permissible connection pressure and the types of gas to be used are regulated differently from country to country. So that you can operate a Petromax gas table throughout the EU, we supply you with a connection adapter in accordance with the legal regulations of your region. So you can safely start your adventure with a separate connection set (pressure regulator and hose).
